PastorDan

Pastor Dan has been serving at Bethlehem since July 2018.  His passions in ministry are around worship, stewardship, eco-theology, justice and advocacy, building bridges and partnerships, Christian education and youth ministry.

He also loves to learn-through-travel...with members of the congregation, with his family, or in solitude.  His sabbath time is spent bicycle riding, playing guitar, watching baseball, and most recently paddling his new kayak.

Pastor Dan and his spouse Heather have two teenagers, Micah and Katie, and they all love their new puppy, Ginsburg.

Before moving to Fairfax, Pastor Dan served at Shepherd of the Valley in San Diego, CA for 10 years, and at Messiah in Yorba Linda, CA for 2 years.  He went to seminary at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, got his Bachelor's in Biology at California Lutheran University, and he grew up in Houston, Texas.

Our Church Leadership

Each of us is viewed as ministers with the purpose of sharing our faith with those around us.

As a church body, we elect council leaders, including a president and vice president, to help us focus our direction towards our mission to Build Lives through Worship, Mission, and Connection.  We also volunteers designated to focus on the many functions of the church and our mission efforts.  These leaders organize teams in the congregation to serve in these ministries.  There is always a way for anyone and everyone to get involved!

She has served as the Christian Education Coordinator and the Community Assistance Coordinator, as well as assisting with the  Children's Choir and Vacation Bible School. Esther Cho serves God as our Minister of Music. Esther brings 9 years of experience as a conductor, flutist, and has served as director of music at various churches, orchestras, and ensembles.  She encourages everyone who wants to share their musical gifts, both vocal and instrumental, to participate in music at Bethlehem.  She welcomes children to participate in the music at worship as well.

Esther has played the flute since she was 14 years old but has experience in playing the piano, organ, violin, cello, trumpet, and many other instruments. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music.
