Bethlehem's Youth Ministry

We engage youth at every age with activities and programs that help them connect with their faith in Jesus Christ, their church community, and their peers.  

Various activities have included our Easter Egg Hunt, Music Camp, VBS, Music, and the Christmas program for the Elementary school age youth. The Middle School youth are engaged with Confirmation on Sunday and during the week,The Synod Shekinah Retreat, and social activities.

The Senior High Youth have fellowship events and work together in social ministry.  They are engaged in a summer mission trip. Two out of three years it is a mission trip that enables the youth to work on people’s houses and build relationships with their peers from all over the country, our youth group, and the people whom we serve. It is a great experience for the youth.  Once every three years, the youth will attend the ELCA Youth Gathering.  This is a national event where over 35,000 youth gather.  They hear great speakers and presentations, have great music, participate in work projects in the city we visit, and engage their faith with Bible study and worship in a new way.  This trip is very influential and becomes a life-long memory of faith.   In addition, the youth may attend Chrysalis, the Synod-wide retreat, Kings Dominion, and other various events during the year.
